To the dirty MF’er who decided to break into my house while I was away. You’ve been captured on camera from the moment you approached the back door and throughout the house.
From that, the police should find you, and pray they do before I do. Not only did you take christmas presents for little children. you attempted to deadlift 500lbs of gun safe, which is bolted to the floor in the garage, and took my laptop along with a couple checks I received from customers at work. I hope you enjoy your ill gotten gains, because when they do find you, or I do, your freedom will be gone.

Yes, my house was broken into, the alarm sadly didn’t do much, and now I’m out presents I doubt I’ll be able to find again. Since most were ordered online. This dirty bastard will be in jail soon enough, because his fingerprints are throughout the house. They’re also on the guncase which has its spinny knob(can’t think of the correct word) broken off, so for now all my guns are locked up even to me.

I, along with the police did get a laugh of him attempting to wrap his arms around the safe, attempting to lift which has been bolted to the concrete beneath the carpet.

I do, have my Glock 27, but beyond that. My TV is broken, along with my 2 monitors, and a destroyed house. When I noticed it, I cleared the house, and called police. Who surprisingly arrived quickly. They did their job, and I turned over just over a 1gb of video file too. Shouldn’t have a problem finding him. No mask, hood or anything. Along with no gloves.

The alarm company alerted me to this, but I was no where near the house at the time, and after 2 hours I got home. At least the firearms are still inside. Gotta see if a locksmith or the company I bought it from can fix my safe.

At least my desktop was at the office today. I wouldn’t know what to do if I lost it.

Shit man, sorry to hear that. Glad to hear you and your family weren’t hurt, though.

Also, dumb criminals are my favourite thing of all time. Make things a lot easier and give a good laugh along the way.

I live alone, and currently do not have any plans for children, to clarify. Just me in my house.

Sorry that your home was violated in such a heinous fashion. That said, threatening bodily harm isn’t cool. Good luck with the investigation, the trial, etc. as well as getting things back in order. A terrible way to enter the holidays, to be sure.

Yea, its not a good feeling. It just makes you want to find them with that CSI style facial scanner stuff.

Yea, I’ve already told the people who’s checks they were to cancel them.

Afterall, they’re wrote out to a business, not personal. Beyond depositing them in the bank, I don’t know how’d you attempt to cash them. Although, I’ve never tried.

Damn, that’s horrible. At least you have video of it and hopefully that leads to something.

There have been a string of break ins in my neighborhood recently. As soon as that shit started, I put all my guns, money (lots of it cause I don’t trust banks haha) and tools in the safe. I’m still terrified of somebody breaking in even though there really isn’t anything of value outside the safe.

Ah, I doubt he will. I always leave empty ammo boxes on the table for this reason. To show what’s going through you if you do it while I’m here.

Cash Advance......

I have no urge to go back to my ways of hunting human beings, but shit like this gives me that tingling sensation in my nose and an itch inside my hands.

My prayers are with you, for your safety and peace of mind; because no matter how prepared we are for something like this, it takes time to recover from the loss of security of our own domains.

First of all, THAT SUCKS. Sorry to hear your home was broken into.

The alarm company alerted me to this, but I was no where near the house at the time, and after 2 hours I got home.

The alarm company alerted you ... then what? I thought alarm companies called the police if the homeowner didn’t cancel it. Did they actually get a hold of you?

This is one of my biggest nightmares, and reading that you beat the police to the house is making me uncomfortable about alarm companies.

I feel your pain. My house was burgled when I was 14 or so. Our house was one of many hit by the same couple. I learned that deadbolts are useless against big screwdrivers.

The biggest loss was the film in the camera that they stole. It had pictures of my grandfather just before he passed.

Now we have a two-tier system - one digital, one analog. Woof.

Kinja'd!!!

Here’s what happened to the last “intruder”.

I second this question — WTF good is an alarm company then? Sorry that you are having to deal with this, but at least you and your loved ones all escaped injury.

We had alarms in all of our stores. We had sensors on the glass, sensors on the doors, as well as two interior motion sensors.

They always called the store first, and you gave them the password. I told my managers that they had better call the alarm company first, and they usually did.

If there was no answer at the store, they called me at the house. All the calls were in the middle of the night, and they all sucked.

Every time I got a call, I asked what tripped the alarm. If they said it was an single interior sensor, but there was no door/glass, I told them to ignore it and not call the police. Often it was interior signage (expecially if the staff decorated for the holidays recently)

If it was ever a door or glass, I would get dressed, and tell them I would meet the police up there.

If I didn’t answer, or if they couldn’t get a hold of the second person on the list, they sent the police.

I can think of only a few times the police showed up because of a false alarm. I think they start charging you after the third or fourth false alarm.

I have no idea how residential alarms work, but assume it’s similar.
